I want to know if it is possible to modify units stats (like in RA).

I think RA was the first one to have a rules.ini file, if I'm not mistaken...
Nyreguds would know hmm.gif

It's possible, it just requires modification of the exe file to do it. Fortunately, that link gives nice GUI editors that can edit all the stats for you.

I'm not sure, if you're running TFD then maybe that's it. If it is, perhaps if someone with C&C95 installed could send it. I would but my copy isn't with me at uni, I'm afraid. Otherwise, I haven't got a clue.

these editors are for the DOS version of C&C. They don't work on C&C95.

For C&C95 you need UGE:

Well, tbh I stopped looking and just made it myself, using the DOS editors as guide tongue.gif

Yes either use TiBeD or edit rules.ini

TD has no rules.ini. Also i strongly recommend to not use TibEd or any other editor to edit rules.ini of any C&C.
I've never tested this, but i somehow doubt that TibEd can edit TD, even if it stands in its description. It's a bit different to edit a text file or binary values in a compiled file.
But if it can edit TD i would recommend using it for this game only.

No worries on TibEd... Koen has updated his C&C95 editor with the information from my UGE. It works perfectly now.

Basically, TibEd translates the binary data to an INI so his normal editor can edit it, and then translates it back when saving the C&C95.exe file. I tested it, and the latest version works fine. It has all of the editing possibilities UGE has, in a nice GUI smile.gif

(my new UGE 3.0 beta can edit loads more though... like trees overlay, music, weapons... but I guss once I finish all of itt I'll ask Koen if he'll update TibEd too)

hello,
time ago i edited my C&C dos to make the A10 buildable, and it worked just selecting "landable" and "buildable"
I edited in the same way the C&C95 and it did not work.
Anyone knows why?

i used the CnCGEdit.exe

CnCGEdit is a piece of ****, so that must be the reason tongue.gif
Seriously though, really, it's horribly limited and it's very well possible that some options are not correct in it.

Landable? I called that option "Airplane Logic" or "airplane special" in UGE (don't remember which), since its effects are vastly more than just allowing a plane to land & take off.

In fact you can turn it back on once you have a savegame where you have your A10s selected and in the air... then they actually act like A10 planes again (and, oddly enough, have infinite ammo).

The only problems are that they only take Attack commands (so you need to use [CTRL]+click to move them around), and if they fly out of the map you can't get them back.

The full lists of edits needed is:
Buildable -> true
Selectable->true
Airplane special ("landable") -> false

This works. Just tested in TibEd.
