QUOTE (Wes.com @ Apr 12 2007, 05:36 PM) its has a nice Gens feel but its a CNC for sure, could have been better imo, but it a good game.
even tho i'm a Noddie i must say Gdi is looking way cooler, i'm thinking of switching sides atm. Nod has lost some of its old glorie, they lost there real army imo. the hardware is ok but the infantry has to many civs in it. the Scrin i concider weard atm, but cool. Join GDI, we have bigger gunz.

To me, it felt like a blend of TD and TS. Especially when looking at the terrain/maps. Those Egypt maps reminded me of TD, while those Italy-maps reminded me a bit more of Tiberian Sun. As for units, it was like an evolved version of TD.

TD did have a presence in TW but i felt that the sicfi of CnC was lost with the basic units. The return of the tank is more at time aprorate name than Tiberium Wars, with the tank spam and well you see so many tread tracks on the ground so that it looks like the USA just drove through with a bunch of M1 A2 tanks not juggernauts of war like gdi had such as the MK 2 and the Titan, it miss the old style of walkers with GDI. An idea for revieving them is make the Titan MK2 and the Mammoth MK3 (not the current one) and make only the MK 3 capturable like they have it so GDI gets to kill the Preditor and get a Total of 2 walkers which only one can be salvaged that seems fair. By the way i like all three sides in schrimish not in campain due to the scrin's campain is just a rampage aginst Humans though i kid the first mission destroy London, and nod is fun for the missions you get a crane or MCV or what ever but GDI is a pain... it reminds me of the TD covert ops in which you get commando and have to kill obbys or something like that... hard as hell... all in all units TD, campain TD + New thing, and plot was great Kane fools Aliens.

QUOTE (Bittah Commander @ Apr 18 2007, 10:53 AM) I've completed the GDI campaign on hard and I found all missions pretty easy to be honest. I really liked the GDI mission where you only have the commando and it made me feel like the commando was actually very useful... Whenever I used the commando in any missions after that however, it didn't appear to be even half as useful as I expected. I found that mission great fun, but out of that mission the commando's aren't that good i think. All in all it looks good. I Love the units they seem to me much more thought through than Ts units like the titan and the wolverine, i didn't think much of those units really.

CnC 3 Isn't really that good in my opinion, compared to true cnc games, and like some people here CnC 3 was more generals, a bit TD, and no tiberium sun. Seriously its like 99% of the game is generals, and the story isn't really interesting. Also even though they brought back the movies, they should really add some scripted in game fights like generals (which was one of the few things I liked about generals), not to mention the movies had something empty, maybe the lack of CG as compared to older cnc games, and maybe because its nearly always inside a command center where the characters talk to you and not each other.
