Does anyone have the Viceroid from TD converted into TS?

Because I have it if anyone need it.

The mods ROTD and DTA both have converted viscs, though you'd have to ask permission to distribute it..

That's ok, because I've converted my own to TS.


By the way, if I use it as a new Tib creature, will it cycle through its gfx like the visceroid?
Because, I checked the visceroid entry in art.ini and didn't see anything like:

CycleThroughGraphics=yes

or anything like that.

Edit: Just noticed art.ini thing... Well well... If you copy Visceroid's art.ini entry for your new one... I'm not sure... But it could work... Unless it's hardcoded to only work for that entry. Not sure.

I tell you a simple... There isn't any art entries for visceroid... But I can try and see what happens when you duplicate Visceroid rules.ini entry.
Edit: I tried to duplicate Visceroid rules.ini entry... And make it also builable to test it... But next things was problems:
-You CAN'T build it. Even if it's buildable
-If you add AllowedToStartInMultiplayer=yes tag in there... The game freezes in loading screen without giving any error messages.
It could be in engine or then it could be that I tried it in my modded Firestorm... Anyways... I can guess that it doesn't work...
Or then it could be that
'SmallVisceroid=yes'
and/or
'LargeVisceroid=yes'
Well... Anyways... It was interesting to test it... And good luck with your future projects if you have any.

^^you must have done something wrong H.U.N.K.
-visceroids can be made buildable
-the special keys which make them cycle through their anim are LargeVisceroid=yes and SmallVisceroid=yes (both work)

So putting
SmallVisceroid=yes or LargeVisceroid=yes
in its rules.ini entry would make it cycle through its graphics...

But here's my plan:
The Visceroid & Immature Visceroid from TS will remain untouched;

My worry is that if I add, LargeVisceroid=yes, to the Viceroid,
then when two Immature Visceroids fuse together, they will have a 50% chance of forming a Viceroid instead of a Visceroid

oh come on, start looking in rules.ini yourself.
Then you'll see the key LargeVisceroid=VISC_LRG in the general section, which defines the unit that appears when 2 baby visceroids combine. So there is no chance at all, that 2 baby visc can create your new unit.

So just start adding your new unit and notice that it works. Even if it wouldn't have worked, it would still have been much faster than this question/answer game in this topic. wink1.gif

P.S.: make sure you use LargeVisceroid=yes, because with SmallVisceroid=yes can 2 of your new units combine to a large visceroid.
