This is a map with two neutral bases, a Kodiak crash site. Its is lots of Tiberium close to starting locations.

this map will come in 5 versions

0.5 beta
1.0 more detail and a bit more lighting and ill remove the GDI upgrade center smile.gif
1.01 fixed some stuff
1.5 finished the cliffs and new terrain
2.0 final

2 download links 1 for the the mod And 1 for original Tiberian sun fire storm

Judging by the minimap I can see all players are near tiberium..good

The player to the SW corner though might have an advantage, as he's on an island with only 1 front, and if he wanted to could destroy the bridge and be difficult to get to

Cliffs are a little repetitive, evidence of pure cliff-painterage, to diversify it's good to use the custom cliffs every now and then

terrain is good, has lots of slopes, not all flat like others I've seen

ground is a little bland...put some different LAT's on it and it'll look tons better

Lighting, I don't see any. the neutral bases you could put some light posts in... Any lighting is tons better than none at all

Other than the player in the SW corner, this map looks fun to play...
Even so though, the appearance needs some work (cliffs, LAT, lighting)

Ok here are my thoughts on this.

-the upper left player and the bottom left player are much closer to each other than the one on the right
-they are next to tiberium which is a plus
-the map has very little LAT detailing (ground types)
-like said the cliffs are kinda repetitive and there may be some errors but i dont know as im basing off of pics
-i would say something about lighting but im not too sure as it seems to me those pics were taken while in FinalSun and not during actual game play
-water looks blocky to me
-some of the cliffs look a little squarish
-and i dont like the fact that the GDI base in that one picture seems to be a full fledged base. such as it has an ion cannon and a radar and probably other things in it that would give the first person to capture those a much greater advantage.

but like you said your working on multiple versions to fix the problems that are found in the earlier versions which is good.

just make a few improvements and add a lot more detailing and it will look good wink1.gif

well, other than the lighting and layout, this map is horrible.. the cliff errors are boundless, no LAT, square water, lots of shore errors, blocky tiberium, unbalanced..

OMG the cliff errors are the worst..

is it the white terrain ill fix that
well the uploaded 1.0
is now 0.7

well i suggest getting marble madness and using it to help you with the cliffs. (sorry i dont have a link to it for you mellow.gif ) now for the cliff errors..if you look in his post you will see that there are #s on the cliffs and stuff right. well repetitve cliffs is when there are 2 or more of the same cliff type with the same # touching each other. another form of error is not placing the corner tile to connect certain types of peices. if you look at his pic you will see the burgundy like lines on top of the cliffs that line has to connect in order for it to be correct. also there is such thing as overlapping cliffs which is of course when you place 1 cliff overtop of another. so yeah if you get marble madness it will show you your errors and will make it easier to fix them.

and what he means by LAT is he means the ground types. there is hardly any of it except for the normal dirt.

other than that i dont know how else to describe things. im kinda bad at explaining. and maybe someone will be nice enough to link you to where you can dl marble madness as i dont have the time right now

anyways keep up the work and effort on this map and remember mapping takes lots of patience and the ability to take criticism and learn from it. keep up the effort wink1.gif
