Though C&C95 has the unofficial patches and CnCNet..

DOS has
-a simpler sidemenu with more artificial cameos (i prefer them, instead of the colorful cameos of the 95version where i often lose the overview)
-the radar is actually useful, due to the small battlefield view
-it's simply the pure nostalgic feature which makes the DOS version imo better than 95

I made a DVD version of the german DOS TD, so i don't have to change the CD's and in fact i use the iso with deamon tools so i never need the cd anymore.

I don't know if it's legal, but maybe we can create a similar DVD version with the english files and upload it here on tibweb.
All 3 cds (GDI,Nod and covert ops) together take 1.3GB while the DVD takes only 0.9GB since many duplicate videos,sounds and other files can be avoided.
Since the 95 version is for free, i think there is nothing standing against a free DOS version.

Maybe Nyerguds even has such a DOS version already available for download.

I think he does. I found a C&C Tiberian Dawn package with a readme stating he made it, and it was DOS with all the missions.
I'll see if I can find it again.

EDIT: This link is what I got, it's CnC Dawn DOS version in 3 different languages, compiled by Nyerguds.

I have got the c&c dos---All 3 cds (GDI,Nod and covert ops) .
By the way ,it is 1.07 ver,I put it to the 1.22P ver,and it is run without cd.

the one I got has both 1.22 and 1.20 (you can choose which one to run), and there are extra packs to add the videos and music.
