A little prototype game, Something I worked on for the last 2 days Options

There's no sound and I have it set to run at 1024x768 in a window.

Oh, and if you lose you can hit enter to start again.

I get an error when I run the EXE for it, with it saying there's an error in the side-by-side configuration..

works fine for me, though I'm not sure of the actual goal.. I could keep the barrel thing in the same place and it'll keep spitting random balls down that one spot. I'll almost lose, and then they all explode keeping the game going. Got a final score of 12680

Still, keep it up, it looks like you've put a lot of work into it. I like how the red ones attract to each other

Actually, the white ones attract whatever they hit first, it's just that the red ones are so common that they're usually it.
I'm still playing with the difficulty.

So what exactly happens, do you get the error before or after a window opens? What exactly does it say? Does anything get rendered first? What OS do you have?

I dont know what the goal of the game is... and when do those things explode?

Basically, right now the goal of the game is to get as many points as possible before the game ends (The game ends when you have > 35 balls in play)
When balls explode depends on what kind of ball they are.

Red, green, and blue balls explode when they are close enough to enough balls with the same colour.
When red, green, or blue balls explode, they can set off a reaction with other balls of the same colour within their proximity.
Red balls are worth 10 points, green balls are worth 30 points, and blue balls are worth 50 points.

White balls explode when they are close enough to enough of their chosen colour. White balls choose a colour based on whatever ball they hit first, and they also attract this colour ball. White balls can also set off a reaction with balls of their chosen colour within their proximity.
White balls are worth 80 points.

Black balls explode after 10 seconds, setting off a reaction with any balls within their proximity.
Black balls are worth 150 points.

And finally, purple balls explode after 10 seconds. Purple balls attract all other balls very strongly before they explode, but set off no reactions themselves.
Purple balls aren't worth any points.

And another update. The balls drop quicker, and you can now have 40 in play.

Its looks great and from team blacks review it seems like it would be some good fun, but it says this when I try to open the e.xe file (the newest updated one)

"Application error, failed to start"

or something of that nature.

The game is quite nice, but it's also quite hard.

Crashes on start, failed to start because the application configureation is incorrect. Might be because i'm running XP 64 bit?
