It's a very good map IMO. Though, to me, the bases are a little too close for comfort ^^; I like the map and it's lighting though, very good. To me, 7/10. Though as you said there's no triggers in the map, the layout is pretty good. But as I said, I feel as if the start locations are a little to close for the people that like big maps and big battles. Funny thing about the map, I was laughing after I blew up the AI's ConYard, factory, and refineries. They were pumping out engineers trying to steal my structures, though my reapers took care of them... Even if they are a danger to themselves as I discovered this time. NOTE: All that Tiberium in the AI's base is from them killing my reaper waves xD So many reapers lost their... Um... Data... In that fight.

and to quote what I said at PPM....though too lazy to add all the stuff that had to be removed... QUOTE hmmm I'm sorry Aro...but I took a quick look in final sun and at those pics..but I really don't like it based off of those...but give me maybe a week to actually play it ingame.
Reasons as of right now why I don't like it based off my quick look: -layout is too simple in my general taste. -lighting is blehck. The only plus thing is that it isn't your usual lighting that is similar to your other maps. -theres a cliff connection error in the top right corner beneath the cliff ramp below that waterfall. -based on the pics from what I can see it would appear you tried hard to make your tib lighting be toned down well...but I think it is perhaps too toned down for once. -you left out triggers although you had placed waypoints and what not at the buildings. By looking at the positions I can only assume a civi evac trigger. -I just really wouldn't call that a river...maybe a small stream that is getting dried out.... really where im headed with this comment is that the water just doesn't seem to fit realistically IMO.
but again...I still have to play it in-game...maybe the game play will be nice.

Hmm, Fair enough, Ixith. Everyone has their own opinions, for example, the Shakster has a completely different opinion than you do. Anyway, heres hoping for a better review as soon as you play this map. Oh, and according to shakar's post, the AI Lived up to expectations. ^_^

Hmm, about the River. It was mean't to look like time had taken It's toll on it. I'm guessing that didn't come out too well. But no worries, I'm happy with the map name, to be honest. Thanks for the comments.
I Kinda thought this one would be one of my best in your eyes, I'm a bit disapointed.

I liked this map, though there would've been some places to improve. Here's your full review: Terrain detail was great. However, the area around the river dropped your points down. 8.5 (Mainly the following:) QUOTE The ground looks good, the terrain is nicely elevated, expect you shouldn't make the terrain next to water lower than the water. After all, realistically, the water would move to the lower ground and it doesn't look good at least for my eye. Layout: Was pretty basic, though it was still fun. 7.4 Lighting: The map's lighting somehow reminded me of Lake Istelv. The dark had a nice feel in it. However, I think that the lighting around the tiberium could have been a bit stronger. Also, the small city there could have used some extra lighting, which could've been done by putting a normal, visible light post there. 7.5 Gameplay: Well, I can't say much here, because I got rushed with artillery, infantry and mammoth tanks in 9 minutes. Some more building space would've been nice. I actually surprised of the AI: it attacked me from the center of the map and from the side at the same time, which was the reason why I lost so quickly. There was a good amount of tiberium, and the AI actually attacked my harvesters when I went to harvest tiberium too close from their base, so I had to defend them. And, I've always loved close combat. 8.4 (I always give 8 for basic, balanced gameplay, and the AI and the 2 attack routes got you the 0.4 points.) Now, there's your full review. Now, where's my review of The Hills Have Eyes you promised to me? =P Ok, I'm not demanding anything, just said that for fun, although a full review of that map would be nice since it hasn't really got any comments yet. QUOTE I Kinda thought this one would be one of my best in your eyes, I'm a bit disapointed.
Well, the only your map I've played is Intoxication, and I'd say this is about as good as it is. Actually, this map's AI was much better than Intoxication's, so I'd say that this is better than Intoxication. I wouldn't however say that this is worth a spotlight, but you could get my vote by improving the lighting and by adding some extra stuff, like some cool triggers. Keep up the awesome work, Aro.

As I said on PPM QUOTE Well, the detailing and lighting is nice, although I've seen it before. You got a few shore errors BTW, and yes, I got TO installed.. don't mind the different terrain. Everything else about the map is nice.. a simple 3 player map and please post a minimap next time.

Thanks Rampster. CrashKing, They're not shore errors, That's the TO Terrain causing the shores to appear like that, if anyone else gets the same problem, but with the original terrain, be sure to let me know. Thanks all. I'm still a bit disapointed with what Ixith said... But oh well, can't please everyone. QUOTE Now, where's my review of The Hills Have Eyes you promised to me? =P Patience, grass hopper! Mini-Map added.

QUOTE Aro, you fail There is a difference between 'Failing' and not not actually being able to see the errors. I STILL Can't see those errors in my FinalSun. QUOTE it's a nice little map for 1v1 death matches, players are close, though there's enough opportunities to attack to keep good action. It won't cut the spotlight, but I might add it to the MMP with a little begging I Knew it would'nt get spotlighted, but I'm still a bit disapointed that no-one likes it that much. Though I Must confess, I Made this map within a space of two hours, which is probobly the reason It's not as liked as my spotlighted maps (Salibian Desert, Intoxication and Hazardous Crevice). Oh, And You won't catch me begging.

QUOTE (Yuri 08 @ Jan 9 2008, 05:13 AM) I didn't know Crashking was a part of TO team. What's your job there? That is spam for a topic like this, Yuri 08 >_> Anywho, back to the topic... I do like the map. Only improvement I'd like to see to it is further starting points xD

Yeah, Yuri! You should know better. QUOTE I do like the map. Only improvement I'd like to see to it is further starting points xD Because the map is so small, It'll be hard to move the spawning points further away due-to lack of building space. This map was kind of a disapointment to me, Only spotlighted on CnC-comm. Ahh well, I'm sure you'll be happier with my next one, which is under-way.
