alright guys, i have a little problem in PCX files. actually i have make a new dbak6440 and try to replace the existing ones but the new background image won"t show up in menu. it appear into a black colour. unsure.gif

take a look at below picture.

this is the standard ones right.


when i put this PCX on mix.



it turns into this. whats wrong?



i need someone to tell me why this is happens, i also uploaded the PCX here, maybe someone can check it is there anything wrong with it. please help me!! helpsmilie.gif

8 bit, you mean that PCX is higher than 8 bits. confused1.gif

I dunno why, but they made it 8 bit, where almost all over PCX files in the game can be 16 or higher. I think it might have to be that it is drawn behind dialogs and so...

The problem is that the PCX's must be saved in indexed colour mode - I don't think the image colour depth matters (be it 4,8,16, whatever). In photoshop it's under Image>Mode>Indexed color (as opposed to RGB colour). Similar problem to this: http://ppmsite.com/forum/viewtopic.php?hig...659829af201bf23
