Snowing...its about time. Just looked out my front window and noticed a small thin layer on the deck. Now I can only hope it snows enough in the next 3 1/2 hours to cancel school. (as the decision is made at like 5AM and its currently 1:30 about. lol) Sadly its only suppose to be 1-3 inches now. Stupid weather changed their forecast again.

So whats the weather lookin like for everyone else? hopefully plenty of snow to cancel school if thats what you want.

Only LIGHT rain, and barely of it. Other than that, temperatures have been between 58 - 67 degrees F.

First snow of the year for Rochester was on Thanksgiving (Nov. 22).
I didn't have enough coolant in my car, so when it got cold, the freezing water blew my soft plugs out.

Just yesterday I turned it in to the junkyard, as it's too expensive to fix.

well in the 3 1/2 hours that I was sleeping it must have been enough to call for a delay and then later Cancel cause i woke up and checked the site and saw. 2 hour delay then went back to sleep. Woke up the second time and saw closed.
This is how it looks outside my front window this morning. (note that is not edited with a blue tint thats actually how it looked.) The snow was only like 2 inches I think, but enough in my area. lol I think there might have been ice in it to though.

I live just South of Lake Ontario actually.. We get a whole ton of snow from there - this big fluffy stuff called "Lake effect" snow.

Miller Place had the first real snowfall in 2 years just a couple days ago, but it rained shortly after and the was it :( . Reason being:



God put an almost impenetrable anti-snow shield around the parts of Long Island that New York City does not cover, so all those rich multi-millionaires an hour down the road in the Hamptons don't get any on their Lamborghini's

I used to live in an area that got a massive amount of snow from the Lake Effect TB mentioned, but alas, I no longer live there (Peterborough, Ontario) :(

I live in New hampshire, and Monday morning/sunday night it snowed about 7 inches, Enoguh to cancel school monday! And on top of that we get a one late start day every month where school starts two hours later than normal, and we had one of those on tuesday which was awesome! The storm we got, the weather people said, "wreacked havock on the northeast(me) and the plains." They also showed a map of the America and the temperatures in Texas were in the 40's ! the same as us!

At my school, snow days= bad

Reason being; if we don't have a snow day up till that point, we get the Friday of the Memorial Day weekend off. So instead of a 3 day weekend we get a 4 day weekend!

well here in good old central alberta, it was nice and warm right up till november 7th or so. since then it has snowed numerous times. its -30 (celcius) outside. thats really freaking cold. unfortuneatly, sherwood park has really good road clearing, so snow days don't happen. in fact the schoolboard has a policy against them. schools can only be closed if it drops to -40....without windchill.

Our snow never laid properly down, because it didn't snow enough. It just laid down a bit then it stopped snowing.

Might be snowing sometime soon. Tore's a lucky bastard, the place where he lives is isolated from the sea and thus it's cold there! :O

Curse all of you! Everyone gets free days but we...nope, no chance. Snow does NOT cancel school here, NEVER... Well atleast i'm not the only one, same situation as Shadow, only gets cancelled when the temperature falls below something like -35C.

We had one meter of snow and -25'C, still school didn't get cancelled. School never gets here.

The last winters.. we barely get snow before X-mas, but we do get a bit in january and february..

we've got around a foot up here and the temps are bottoming out around 9 F during the night, during the day its getting into the low twenties.

We have snow on the ground here, and its been around -1'C all day (30'F). Their calling for ice pellets and freezing rain on the weekend .
