Well this topics been gone for a while, might as well revive it, since everyone liked it and since i have about nothing to do.




my base, which in my opinion and base making style, is a light scout outpost, compared with what i usually like to make.

the best bases are the ones with a large entrance on the corner defended with towers with the walls partially round them.

using my terraformer (*), a lot of foundations and 5 hours later you'll get this. biggrin.gif

just let them move to the other side of the gate and press "s" right after they start to move over the gate. So they stop direct over the door and keep it open.
i also gave them all team 5, so if the enemy attacks my base with sub units, i press 5, click on the map so they move away and all gates close down.

Its a single-player mission, the AI doesn't always have the ability to fire cluster/chemical missiles. So why not take advantage of that and make some bases you couldn't make in multi-player matches tongue.gif

I don't really like these uber big bases with randomly placed buildings, not something you would see in real life, unless it's a quick, stealthy, offensive outpost. I got a saved game with a rather good work of art, i'm gonna post it soon.

Edit: Ok i got the pictures up, and when i first created this thread i didn't really intended it to be a thread about who can create a bigger base, but just bases you have built for decorative purposes or just cool.
Anyway here's mine after a very long time, map by The Raven, Lonely River.
The mod is Retro...and that's about it.
My main base -

Forward intelligence outpost, my favourite part -

Forward offensive outpost, the lack of infantry is due to an attack just before the picture was taken -

another one from me.
done in the last FS GDI mission.

also this time: everything done ingame, no map editing done before.

some additional info
this base has a power output of 12400
and a power consumption of 7490 biggrin.gif
The power is produced by my Ion Charge Collectors which are all 3 times upgraded. (this building is not released yet)

I'm now open for ideas, how you would attack and destroy such a base. biggrin.gif
The Core Defender was destroyed, before the firestorm defense ran out.

A great base, but too much open space, then everything packed on one island. Also, gates and bridges look ugly.
