Well I felt it was time for an update, so here is a pic of me out in the field. Taken about an hour ago actually. Sorry that it's so tall but I couldn't bring myself to crop off all of the nice scenery. The sword in my left hand is my favorite, my cutlass. Followed by a saber I'm building which is in my right hand. Finlay, I have a hand & a half sword on my back. Other weapons: Axe, Shakram, Shuriken, & Knives. I couldn't find even half of my equipment or weapons so have almost a quarter to a third of my total carry-able load out on me.

Not Katana, Saber. The blade came from a saber but i'm making a new handle & hilt for it. so right now it looks like a katana.

Well basicly heres a rundown.

1. find good local
2. Have a crew willing to get cut to ribbins
3. HAVE A GOOD CAMERA CREW
4. MAKE SURE THE PEOPLE KNOW WHAT THEY'RE DOING
5. keep fighting & recording till someone is either incapacitated or dies. (doesn't always happen thank goodness)
6. cut, edit, finallize, deploy.

At least that's how my friends & I do it anyways.


Oh wait a second... misread your post Hyper. But yes we do spar. Used to use the swords & axes, But I nearly took three fingers off of one of my friends one night & now we mainly use the bamboo kendo sticks. My first nick name was born that night. "Hand Cleaver". Trust me it's very suiting as I can aim for their blade & yet hit the hands instead. So everyone with a brain uses my chain-mail gauntlets when they spar with me.

Dude, that's what fencing is for: Practice sword fighting without the risk of losing your fingers or other limbs.

When it comes to sword fighting, Non of us seem to care much for the art of sivilised swordplayy. I guess we just like getting banged around, thats all. Trust me, I like rapiars, No one else want to pick up anything other than the overrated katana. Well exept for William, He picks up a claymore & battle axe. But like i said, We've gone to using the wooden kendo sticks against one another for saftey reasons.

If my scars didn't fade with time, My body would be a history book of conflict. But yes I've hurt many things with my collection of weapons. Trees, grass, rocks, myself, etc.. With one of my swords which isn't shown, I fought with one of my friend after sun down. In the middle of winter. Two strikes into the battle, I nearly took off three of his fingers. got it on tape even. But for my failure, I refuse to dispose of the sword as well as clean it as a constant reminder. Even though he says that it's a hit with the ladies.

Epic? no. Bloody? Very. he would not stop bleeding for about an hour. We did rush to get him medical attention though. By the time he got to the hospital, He had finnaly stopped bleeding. I'm surprised he didn't hold it against me. what's funny though is that whenever he would go to show of the stitches, he would be flipping the person off. As for the vid, i'll see if I can figure out how to upload it sometime, but keep in mind that was almost no light either so the vid will be vary dark.

Yea, that vid is almost 2 years old & my hair is now so long that when I go to eat, I have to push it back so I don't get a mouth full of hair & food.
