Well its still not comepletely finished but i tohught id show you all the progress...Im still trying to think of hings to put by the roadside.

i have some tips for you to follow:
-make asymmetrical maps.
-Make your maps seem realistic. Thus no really straight rivers, cliffs, and hills.
-make sure you have correctly used cliffs and shore pieces. Marble Madness helps wonders with this. I mention this as I see that on the area near where the tiberium is on that river island there are 2 shore error ish spots and no shore at all on that area of pavement down below the tiberium area.
-Make sure you fully complete the trigger(s). I looked at your trigger and i must admit im surprised as it was all correct except you just forgot to follow through with attaching the trigger to the train, making the team-type selected in your action, and making sure the trigger was set as the tag on the team-type.
-do not use repeated cliffs. it looks kinda ugly.
-If you have bridges it might be wise to add the bridge repair huts wink1.gif (noticed you didnt have any)
-Make sure there are at least a few tib trees on the map.
-Make sure to add lighting. the normal lighting isn't bad but on a snow map like this it could be a little bright plus dynamic lighting on a map does great justice to making a very nice feel to the game.

its best to keep those things in mind as it makes your maps more fun and gives them a good feel when playing rather than a bland feel.

overall:
-pretty decent for a beginner. You made use of cliffs, water, train trigger, C&P roads (which i kinda like the style of that for a snow map although it kinda looks ugly when going from bridges to that or to paved road slopes to that.)

keep working. Remember to keep those tips in mind to make your next few maps get better and better. Always look to improve and remember that a good map takes time and patience. I think you have good potential to becoming a good mapper. biggrin.gif

Hehe suicide.gif, So basicaly everrything is wrong apart from the roads...and even they are wrong a little.

Well, it's a good start, looks like you've got the basics down..

If you want some good example maps, I'd give the OMC packs a download (in the spotlighted maps forum). Not only are there some great maps there, but there's also posted feedback on them, so you can know common mistakes, ways to improve, and all other kinds of useful info for ya.
