hi guys, i"m still busy with my mod and i have some question about carryall, does anyone know how to make a carryall drop a vehicles from air. if this can works does it have a side effects. if it has a side effect how it can be prevented. confused1.gif

you can try giving your carryall a weapon. Orca infantry transporter with a weapon parachute the passengers out if forced fire. But i don't know if it works with carryalls too.

Well, the only way I might see how to do it is use dropships loaded with vehicles, and give them a weapon like you would do in the infantry paratrooper technique.
...but the only way you can put vehicles in dropships is through reinforcement triggers on maps, I think.

It might be worth looking into, it would be interesting if it could work hmm.gif

I managed to do so unintentionally. The code for Tiberian Sun: Retro has paratroopers with the Orca Transport but it will do the same with the Carryall.

See what happened was I had given the Carryall a machine gun and, during testing, ordered it to attack while it had an underslung load. The load was dropped, parachute deployed, and the Carryall attacked.

Granted the chutes were voxels from RA2, but meh... I'd ask SMIFFGIG himself, wherever he is.

I' m 100% sure that won't work and aside from that I believe the vehicles aren't actually IN the dropships, but spawned from the spots the dropships land.

Anyway, just giving the Carryall any weapon will make it paradrop the vehicle it's carrying when ordered to attack.

sorry for bumping this old topic, actually i want to ask this long time ago but i always forgot. i want to ask something about the selection box. if you see below there was a picture of tick tank being dropped by carryall but i seen the selection box is being moved over and not correctly placed with the voxel body. how to fix these bug, any idea confused1.gif



hope someone know the answers.
