TW Community Tourney Options

Basicly I think it might be a good idea to have a community tournement for Tib Wars since the EA ladders will always be full of cheaters and DC'ers, etc.

Would either be a straight elimination or round robin with top 8/16 going through to an elimination stage depending on how many people are interested.

Unsure to start times yet as I have no idea how popular this will be.

First prize will either be a map made to your exact specs or possibly (if the admins like the idea) a custom forum rank here such as "Tib Web Champion 07" or such like.

Matched would be orgainised here and I will adjudicate. All that is required to prove a win is a replay of the match between you and your opponent.

Rules so far:-
Any cheaters will be disqualified and their opponent automatically will win.
A Disconnect will equal a loss unless both parties agree to a rematch, (max of 1 rematch)
My desicion is final regarding any disqualifications, (as will any extra judges be if there are more)
Some instawin tactics will be banned (MS-MM) combo is all there is now, although I may remove it as the patch progresses.
A judge may not take place in the tourney. (much as I'd love too it would be unfair for obvious reasons)
A Desync will be judged and a winner chosen unless both players agree to a rematch or the match is too close for a winner to be decided.


So what do you all think?
Any new rules I feel are usful will be added.

Well I wouldn't be able to join in, cuz I don't evactly have cnc3.

If someone wants to make one for TS though, I'd be happy to join. But then, there wouldn't be much competition, I'd crush you all

here are some questions:
rushing?

They are all reasonably simple to counter if the maps are not gamebreakingly small, (redzone ram, backwater)
Plus the new patch helps out alot. Also since it is our tourney then we can play unranked on the bigger maps or use fan made maps , which are bigger.



Imo if ppl will still spam venoms again my scrin armies they desevre the thrashing they get.

I say we do this in two sections
first is 1vs1 this is a simple elimination tournament, you lose your out
second is 2vs2 you have a permenant partner and you will play against another 2 person team. in order to defeat a team you have to play them in 3 battles, the first two are picked by the team the third by the judge.

Times for games will be set when we have more interest in the tourney.

( I really wish I could play the 2v2 tourney, I'm kinda good. Rank 2123ish at last check)
