We all trolled the hell out of the horde for useless things like WALLS(Oh God.). While Walls failed, we got blue tiberium, among our other wins. Now, lets band together and see if we can do something here...

I like the thought, but there's a lot of misplaced Westwood hatin going on there...You [should] know perfectly well that EA rushed Westwood into releasing TS as well as FS, and as a result, they had to ditch a ton of the cool features that they had originally intended to put in it.

If TS development started in '96(Really '95 the idea was born, however W$ wants to cash in with Red Alert 1, probably the best move of this company.) and ended in '99, I think four years to go from concepts to ingame is PLENTY of time, however W$ f*cked around and delayed a LOT of times(You can not deny the delays), EA acquired W$ in September of '98. If W$ actually did there f*cking job instead of going 'lol, delay', we'd have a TS that doesnt slow when I click on a LOL, SANDBAG.

Carno, if EA wouldn't have given Westwood that deadline, most of these issues wouldn't even be there. Yes, they might have delayed, but I think a delay is fully acceptable which the quality of the game makes up for it (which for instance isn't the case with TW).
EA gave Westwood a deadline they couldn't meet and nevertheless they made great game.

By the way, I rarely experienced that lag. It's either caused by a bad graphics card or outdated video drivers.

I already thought TS was a good game (my favourite) before I knew about that Evil Arts bugged Westwood to finish the game; If Evil Arts never bought C&C and all its stuff, we would have a lot better C&C games today, C&C 3 doesn't deserve the title of C&C in my opinion. How can you hate the company that orginally started the franchise? I HATE people who think Evil Arts do a better job than Westwood. I'm playing good old TS again and it feels A LOT better than 'C&C' 3.
Evil Arts should never been a part of C&C at all. That's final!

Lol. I have, actually. I made a nice, simple mod for TS that gets totally ignored on PPM. roll.gif Well f*ck that mod, new day, new mod, new SPARTAAA.


(BTW I dont HATE WS's games, I just think TS fails when it could've been so much better.)

Once again, the only reason why TS wasn't so much better (because it really would've been) is because EA got involved in the middle of Tiberian Sun' development and Westwood was given a deadline they couldn't meet.

Hell, I don't care if a game is delayed for 2 years (just as long as it takes for the developers to be sattisfied), as long as the game itself meets the standards of the games that are released around the same time and nothing in the game seems to half-assed (things left out, bugs left in...).

1) I totally agree
2) They are exagerated but not childish
3) They "evolve" supposely and EA explained that it was because of lack of funds and governement inspections (Lame excuse)
4) No, they are ok and even better than TS.
5) Heck no!
6) Heck yes!
7) Yes they were supposed to be like that, it only not like any other C&C game.
8) To list a little bit of them :
- What did the mutant becamed?
- Since when an Ion cannon blast take out a Whole damn base.
- Compared to the Terrain in TS, TW have a non-infected oxymoron terrain which was not the case in TS.

Still, I think this could become a great game to mod even if Some think it just plain suck.

2) The way I see it, exaggeration = childish.
4) You can't possibly mean that... I'd almost think you haven't seen the TS video's, because even though they're a lot older, TS's video's are at least 4 times as good as C&C3's.
5) Heck yes...

And indeed, a mod could make it a lot better.

tib wars isn't a bad game really.. Just a REALLY f*ckED UP C&C..

1) I agree crap name

2) They acted the same as TS imo

3) i second robofish

4) I strongly disagree

5) Not really

6) Yes kind of

7) I find the new controls very annoying

8) Lots of things!

-No Walls
-No Mutants
-No Veinholes
-Ground should look somewhat like TS but it doesn't!
-The ioncannon destroys a whole base!

look, TW probably isnt as good of a game as it could have been. Ive never played it so i dont know but from what ive seen and heard it doesnt look or sound nearly as good as it could have been. there seems like theres no originality in the game. the most original thing i heard was that the artiliery could bounce off the helicopters or somthing like that. now maybe if EA put time and effort into their games, which no one can tell me they do, then the game would have most likely been a ton better. just look at the vids for starcraft 2 and then you will see what a good game looks like when you have a good team working on it and they take their time to make sure its good.

1: take any other game and what does the name mean? tiberian sun. wow, a sun and some green junk. quake. wow, an earthquake...
2: definitely not childish. same as tiberian sun, better quality though.
3: erm rocket inf, mutants, orcas, carryalls, dropships and mutants again, are still there, just different is all. besides, half those other things sucked.
4: the videos rock. they got real actors this time.
5: the missions remain true to the spirit of strategy, and cnc. defend this 'til so and so arrives, blow up these, to let these guys get in...
6: symmetrical isnt necessarily bad.
7: meh, right click, left click, wowee
8: no, you havent.

sorry im a little late, this just annoyed me, the game isnt that bad... and if you really want walls, get the walls mod. i hardly ever use them anyway rolleyes.gif
