I am so happy that engineers are back to take over buildings, and the capturing of mech hulks is very useful if you are stormed with 10 avatars/tripods. But there is one little problem, they cannot repair civilian structures or those gdi soldier bunkers! That, to put it lightly, sucks. Does anybody know if ea is going to fix this? And fix the annoying right click?

probably not, but you never know, the thing that really annoys me is that if i have 10 units guarding with an engineer following behind them the enemy will go around the protectors and attack the engineer, its like the computer hates engineers

Indeed and even the Scrin does that... While the Scrin is not supposed to know what (or which) an engineer is.

CNC3 is not a bad game, its a good one but it could be better, the game is to much of a multiplayer game then anything else. i dont care for online play, so most i do is go kick some AI butt, but in CNC3 its boring as hell and the maps are not helping, plus imo its the maps that are causing this. i hope the expansion adds something for the none online/competition player, because we are clearly being left out.

agreed, and its a simple thing to do. the only way to protect against it would be a map wit choke points that won't let that many units in.

That's not the point. Nod can get out so many more scorpions than GDI can predators that Nod just overwhelms the enemy. Nod aren't meant to be about tank spam, yet it's the best way to win atm.

Scrin (stormriders build or shocktrooper+mastermind+mothership summoning in enemy base) > Nod
Nod scorpion spam > GDI
GDI sonic tower crawling > GDI tank spam


I just have no idea what strat to use online really :|

tower crawling only works on small flat maps.
I like to spam devastator warships and send them one at a time to take out base defenses since they can hit AA from out of the AA's range, also landing zone troopers behind enemy lines is way fun. for GDI i just spam mammoths, or use sniper/juggernaut.
my hint of the day: if you want to put storm columns right next to each other then power down the first one, the reason you can't build under is because of ion storm.

I didn't. Also, like I said before, C&C3 isn't a bad game, but it's a bad C&C and in my opinion isn't worth the money (the money it costs right now). I actually did consider buying it and if C&C3 would've been a great game (which would've made up for it not being a good C&C) I would have bought it, but when I tried it, it obviously just wasn't.

I dont play as the scrin... i always play as GDI and i kick so much ass all the time... Zone Troopers, Mammoth Tanks, Rocket Infantry, and Snipers are all I need, in combo with some nifty map-revealing superweapons... and i own everythin..

This "faster more balanced gameplay" doesn't seem very balanced to me. If you could build walls, then at least you could slow down the massive amounts of scorpions. What i think GDI needs is EMP rocket troopers, small squads of men that fire rockets with a small EMP warhead. If the EMP effect lasted only a very short time and the units had a fair price i think that it would be slightly more balanced

in the patch, the scorpion's damage dealt and strength are reduced by half iirc.
