Have to take something back... QUOTE (Myself @ Jan 9 2007, 07:53 PM) Well, I don't think I see here in my country EVER snow again. It didn't freeze this winter (ok, it's still winter, but... I don't think that gonna happen). Ok, for all stupidness: Yesterday, it was in the night 3 degrees C. At the day, it was 6-7 degrees. TODAY it's @$#*&^! -5 degrees at night, and now (at the middle of the day) it's 1,5 degrees. AND SNOWING!! Yust a blue sky, with some tiny clouds, sun is shining, AND SNOWING... Jeez... Snowing and a blue sky, with realy tiny clouds... well possible, strange enough And now hoping school gets canceled... for the coming 2 months...

The weather report is sometimes bad... And good When they report 1C and mix of snow and water it might rain or snow.. It varies. Mostly good. they are bad at saying correct temprature. They reported -9C for this evening but it's -15 C

as did it here last night. and surprisingly my school's Super Intendant (the one that decides the delays and closings) actually managed to see the snow and how bad the roads where. and gave us a delay the night before and then when morning came around he decided it wasnt safe and had school be closed. Although within 2 hours the roads were clear  more or less i think he was just trying to find an excuse to delay or close because of the American Football Super Bowl that happened the last night. (or the Super Bullsh*t in my words ) but all that matters to me is that we for a change actually had a closing which was needed cause i was tired and didnt want to have to take my AP US history test on a monday. i hate taking tests on mondays as far as i know though its suppose to be really cold but not snow for the next few days i like the snow.......... ok so they already announced that my school is closed for tomorrow to. and that makes me wonder WTF is wrong with them. before they wouldnt even give us a damn delay and now they are just throwing a second day of closing out of the blue. no seriously.......most of the snow from yesterday has melted today the roads are clear now and not icy. The only problem i could see now is that its really cold (like 10 F then you have to add in the wind factor which probably makes it feel like -5 F at least) and somewhat high winds. I have one guess........my super intendant wasn't a Colts fan. XD (The Colts won the Super Bowl so if he wasnt a fan of them hes probably really upset the other team lost XD )

yer where I live, the snow has stopped for now- to be replaced with a ton of cold and wind. Not only the wind chill, but it also blows the snow into drifts across the road. I was on the expressway last friday when I hit one of these - I did some fishtailing Luckily it was about midnight so there was only like 1 car around Amaningly I managed to keep the car on the road (I wonder if playing Grand Turismo 3 could have tought me the physics of cars on slippery roads or something). I hit then my brakes and by the time I stopped, I was facing traffic at about a 45 degree angle. The car nearby obviously saw me and had stopped to avoid a possible collision. So I turned the car around and went back on my way. What's funny is that a minute later I didn't even believe it happened, like a dream. Later I was going by that spot today and someone less fortunate had slid their car right into the median ditch. I bet they'll have fun pulling it out of there.

The weather has gone a lot colder now. We got -7 C \21 F while it is snowing. If we're lucky it will snow for many days

.........all i can say is that this week.....is the greatest.......of all time so far  why? well lets put it this way..........an unplanned 5 day weekend well not really weekend but you get the point. i mean 5 days straight no school Sat. Sun. Mon. Tues. and now Wed. (abbreviations for the days of the week of course) i dont know why we didnt have school yesterday and today but i can see why we wont be having it tomorow. as we got almost a full 6 inches of snow it seems and it looks as if its freezing the roads over like a frozen hell. and there is a slight chance we will get more snow tomorrow. which means in all possibility that there is also a chance of no school the next day. so anyways.........i think imma gonna go sleddin' tomorrow

well on monday night....well more or less tuesday morning we got hit with at least 4 inches of snow plus about an inch of ice on it all happening from 12:30AM - 5AM (i went to sleep around then and for some reason woke up around 5AM) so school was cancelled on tuesday and then again today. now the roads are snow free and for some awkward reason my school is canceling school tomorrow (thursday). now i have mixed feelings about that. cause we only get 5 days we are allowed to call off for. and as of tomorrow we are on the 6th day. so that means we will have to make up those days by adding on the amount of days past the 5 we are allowed, by adding them to the end of the school year. seriously this weather shows the stupidity of my school administration sometimes. oh well im still hoping to see some more snow hopefully soon. maybe some on my bday. that would make me happy

QUOTE (warlord @ Feb 14 2007, 02:22 PM) sigh nowadays all i get is freakin rain not snow i wish i lived near you TB snow fights ROFL LOL LOLROFL dude I am soooo sicck of snow this morning I woke up at 6am...shoveling our @#$% driveway me and my mom so we could get our cars out; about 6 inches at LEAST. THen the cars themselves need to be brushed off >:( The expressway's got a car slid off the road for every mile, traffic BTW is at about 5 miles per hour So I get back from college that afternoon... and what do you know THE @#$ DRIVEWAY HAS 6 MORE INCHES OF SNOW ON IT !! no, my scool didn't even close. It doesn't close. If all new York turned into a glacier we'd all have to get snow shoes and WALK. (yes it's a commutor college - people are driving from all over the county to get there) I think the guys who make the rules of school closings in my area use a halftrack or something to get around.
