Don't really see the point. My friends all have one and think they're 'the sh*t' cause they can have nice little conversations with each other and laugh about stuff they say on one of their friends myspaces blah blah blah blah.
It's like DeviantArt, but with less crappy mspaint drawings.

I like to call MySpace MySpam... because that's what it is these days. A cesspool of people spamming things up with crap about their lives, NTM the stalkers posing as someone much more innocent. And then there're all the advertisments... like Wiziwig said, all my school friends think MySpace and Hotmail are the greatest things ever, using them interchangably like they think it's cool. Well, Hotmail as a mail service is one of the crappiest, and MySpace is as overrated as it can get. If I want a personal page, I'll get domain hosting and make an entire website, and rub it in my friend's faces, telling them "You've got that stuffy lil' MySpace page, while I've got my own domain name, plus multiple gigs of web space and traffic. HA!"

i love myspace simply because it's easy to use, not that much of a waste of time, and really customizable. Simply because it's cheap (IE Free) for poor folks and i can keep up with the parties and whatnot. then again I hate that EVERYTHING has a myspace such as movies and TV shows and entire networks... it also gets annoying when ppl are all like "why am I not on ur top 8/12/16/20/24 or whatever... that's why I'm setting mine to only four top friends... Steven, Tiffany, Ashley, and Kat. If ur not on there, then stfu i dont care that's what i tell them anyways lol.

There are better social networking sites. What puts me off Myspace is the usually horrible pages, the dribble of incoherency from the users and the obnoxious BLARING LOUD MUSIC every time you load a bloody page. Personally, I've joined the social networking (not Web 2.0, load of crap that is) craze through Facebook which seems to be much better without the poncy crapness that Myspace has.

Really all this "myspace is for 40 yr old raper d00ds and 12 yr old a0lers" is.. well.. pointless. I've yet to meet anyone on myspace that seems the least bit suspicious (granted I know all of them in person) nor any spammers. Yeah, rachel kinda overdoes it with the survey bullitens, but that doesn't bother me that much... It's all about the friends you have.
