Ugh, you just started me off about uniforms...

I HATE THEM!!

We have to wear them.
Shoes must be black and not high heels or boots..
Well i wear my newrocks and get non stop sh*t about them..

Hair styles must be sensible..
too bad, i'm not changing my hair..

No accessories..
I Don't care about that either, i'll wear as many as i want..

And the fact i actualy have to wear a uniform is punishment enough!

Heres a pic of me in my uniform...

It Sucks..

And the girls uniform is just as bad.
Simmular rules but they still go on non stop about make-up too...

Heres a pic of my friend maria in her uniform.

Notice we both have chokers on and she is wearing make up.
And of course i am wearing nail varnish if you look on the left side of the photo on maria's shoulder...
And those fingerless gloves...
We are the School Uni. Rebels, along with alot of other friends...

Live life as a rebel, you only have one chance as the person you are.
And have fun being that person.

I would probaly liked the school uniform for awhile, but I would have gotten sick of it...
I voted the fourth option.
We aren't allowed to wear a cap or anything on our hair,
but the girls...
Allowed to wear this thing I do not know the name of, on their head. I also like fingerless gloves biggrin.gif It feels good wearing them.

i like not having uniforms, then i can demonstrate non-conformity. When people say "YAY BLACK EYED PEAS" i say "YAY LED ZEPPELIN". also i can not wear skate shoes, or really baggy pants, or any other thing that is "in style" or is "cool"

There are no good sides to uniform..
The Girls uni. Is not even that good on any of them..

But maria, shes hot anyway.

Anyway, uniforms are seriously a bad idea.
I have noticed on non-uniform days in my school the people work happier and easier.

......@doomtohel.........WTF man..you post was way off topic. ill tell you this as i try and warn all people that i notice spam.....but yeah your spamming stop it please.

anyways i voted 4 cause my school doesnt have a uniforms (THANK SCIENCE XD) and i like it that way. if we had uniforms i wouldnt wear them....UNLESS they were decent...but knowing my school they probably would suck thus id wear whatever the hell i want and fight against the stupid rule.

however my school does have the usual stupid dress rules. but they added a few more rules this year which are gay such as:
-hair color must be a natural color. so no green, blue, or orange, purple, or stuff like that.
-no visual piercings except ear piercings. so no lip, eye brow, tongue, and that such.
-you can only soft spike your hair now. no hard spikes. this one IMO is stupid and was probaby made simply b/c of my brother and his large mutli-colored Mohawk lol.gif

and probably a lot more gay ones to but those are the only ones im gonna mention.

so yeah really im lucky cause my school is cool and doesnt make us wear uniforms. sure their dress code may seem strict but really....it probably isnt as strict as most schools.

I liked using uniform when I was in school (yes, no longer in it, going to star university in march, so this means last year lol.gif)

But anyways, the uniform was quite confortable, a blue t-shirt, grey pants and black shoes (nothing too formal). Last year students, like I was, could use beard; and for girls, make up. In the last moth we could go without the uniform, hmm.gif they were quite permissive in comparison to other schools nearby.

Wait a minute there machine... You said you liked wearing a uniform???

You may need to have your head checked, i detest uniform, and i will do always.
Uniform is not even worth the money, all it does is symbolise you are a student at some crap school.

And to be honest, they are quite expensive too.
I mean my blazer alone cost £65.

And i guarentee in about 1 years time it will not fit me anymore.

So i hate them, and thats the end of that.

Yes I liked them, but I didn't wear a blazer, just a blue t-shirt, grey pants and black shoes; so it wasn't very expensive, and also it was confortable.

Don't get me wrong, I would hate to use a uniform like yours, as I did until I had 14 years (if I remember it well; I'm soo old lol.gif). I just liked the one at my school, which was a casual outfit; to tell you the truth some of my firends even used piercings in classes, accesories, etc; I always used a hat and sunglasses in the last year lol.gif

EDIT:
Oh, I forgot to tell this, every student of last year, in the same class could use a customized jacket, anorak, or something similar, with a logo for the class a customized name for you, and a list of all the other students in the class.

hmm.gif I don't know how I could forget this

meh i may hate uniforms but i know why and can see why a lot of schools would use them. (well i know why for a lot of the ones in the US at least) and thats to simply make their dress codes short and quick and so there are no arguments on whether or not a certain piece of clothing goes against the dress code or is ok.

Ixith, dress codes are lame.

You will find that the students wearing their own clothes are comfortable working in school.
And students wearing uniform are miserable working in school..

Its a fact.
And for this reason, they should not be worn.

Which is why me and a group of my friends have made the School Uni. Rebels.

A Uniform is something i hate having to get into every weekday morning.

And personal, i can not wait till sixth form so i can start wearing custom clothing in school.

I've never had to wear a uniform for school, but the main reason I wouldn't is right there in your post, Nods Viper. I would be really uncomfortable in a school uniform. My other reason is that it's bad enough ppl at school are taught to think alike, but with a uniform they have to LOOK alike, too? No way. I wouldn't accept that. If a school uniform was imposed at my school, I would transfer just like that to another district.

While I was in school I had to wear a bloody suit everyday. You did get used to it, and to be fair it did look smart. But we had to, being a private school. I never really had any problems with the uniform. Except doing up the uppermost buttons and the tie all the way. That was quite uncomfortable.

mm... I'm not compelled to swing either way.. uniformity in school isn't THAT bad of a thing, granted it may be expensive, but the SCHOOL or it's DISTRICT should pay for the uniforms, not the parents. Underpriveliged children who cant afford the uniforms get punished for not having money, which in my opinion is utter bullsh*t. Denton High doesn't really have a dress code.. but if a chicka's skirt is WAY short and you walk by the head Cheerleading coach, she'll go apesh*t on the poor girl.. Ms Covey is all about women's respect and whatnot.. I wear pretty much what i want when i want at school. In fact, my attire right now is not very aimable with the school admin but they dont usually mess with us..

Attire: Black & Red hair, spiked liberty style. Black eyeliner, spiked 'collar' of sorts, leather jacket with random chains & sh*t... fingerless gloves (spiked at wrist), black nail polish, black shirt that says "stfu. please." on the front of it, my black tripps (super baggy, chain and metal embedded pants), System of a Down socks, and my Converse All-star shoes... now THAT's what i call a uniform

Yea, you know what sucks. THe schoolboard in my parish (county, for those of you not familiar with louisiana law) changed the # of votes needed for uniforms instituted from a 2/3 majority to a 50% + 1 majority, so i will have to wear uniforms next (my senior) year again (i had to wear them 3rd, 4th, 5th, and 6th grades). I freaking ahte them man, they're so worthless!

Lol, daTS, one of my old schoolmates used to wear a cap that just said "f*ck", my government teacher "confiscated" it. That's what he said, but I found out later that he liked it and kept it himself. THAT was funny. lol.gif

At my old school; Uniforms where not part of our dress code (thank God) .
However, we still had a dress code, we was not alowed to have any kind of clothing or accesories that could do damage to people, such as y'know the little wristbands with the spikes on them.
So it was really hard for us rocker's, goth's etc.
That thing around Nods Viper's neck, i'm shocked that you are allowed to wear that thing, if we wore anything like that, it was a possible exclusion. It looks good on you though, and that girl is pretty nice too. wink1.gif
Anyway, i'm thankful we do not have to wear uniforms, but we still have a type of dress code, so i can not really complain.

.. My younger brother's school is retarded.. it doesn't have a uniform code but a "standardized dress code".. The students may only wear khacki or navy slacks (girls may wear skirts of the same colour with a below-the-knees length) and white, grey or orange polo shirts with collars (must have absolutely NO logos on them), tucked in belt and all, and plain black tennis shoes. That's what... $150 USD for just two sets of clothings... now not only is Calhoun the ONLY school in the district doing it, but less than 10% of the parents voted for it, AND a large portion of it's student body is in the underprivilaged part of the city. this causes many students who otherwise have a clean record to have their discipline record to be tarred with ISSC and Suspention reports all because they cant afford the high standard of clothing.... Yes, the school doesn't pay for it, the PARENTS do.

Bullsh*t policies.

then again, underprivilaged part of the city = massive amounts of gang related crime.
