QUOTE (CrashKing @ Jan 17 2007, 10:51 AM) -70 fahreinheit ?????!!!! That is barely possible on earth. What the hell are you talking about? There're plenty of places on Earth with lower temperatures than THAT...

I hate that USA always needs a different system. Fairenheit, feet, inches, miles... I hate it Why cant we all use : Celsius, cm, mm, m, km, miles (10km) I have checked the weather reports. It'll be snow to saturday and its getting alot colder it looks like, Lol, Its kind of a local cold where I live, by a lake, It makes it colder in a radius of 1km. A place 3km from here it was 3 C when I got home it was -2 C! http://www.storm.no/vgnett/Default.aspxlook on it go to kautokeino I live close to oslo. Also you can see trondheim.

bah my area has yet to see freezing rain or lots of snow......wev seen maybe another inch of snow in the past week but we have gotten lots of normal rain. it started to flood our river and if it woulda rained for at least 1 more day then the roads woulda been slippery and i wouldnt have had school on tuesday. i swear my area was one of the few area that DIDNT get drilled by freezing rain that week.
although the possible weather for Sunday is snow here so thats looking good.
anyways i think that our climate overall is slowly switching the time of year certain weather comes or that we are heading into the next mini-ice age which according to something my dad read says we are due sometime soon for that or something like that....cant remember.

Now they say that the weather will go cold and snowy a few days. Maybe we will see a turning point to a hell of a winter ? like last year It was very bad untill late in january. we got 10 inches of snow \25 cm And in february and march : 1 meter I watched the news, someone got some crashes on tape in texas, They wasnt used to drive on ice You saw them crash. In norway there's always some idiots that doesnt change to winter wheels untill AFTER they relize there's winter And the car doors getting frozen is normal for us. There was temprature below zero in the car. In the coldest part the gas in the car get frozen. That happens with a temprature colder than -50C hey! you know the start of Star Wars Episode 5 ? Part of it is played in normal. When they're at the winter planet. this is the weather report on the place : http://www2.nrk.no/nyheter/ver/?kart=25&am...9&sprak=eng

I hate it Why cant we all use : Celsius, cm, mm, m, km, miles (10km) I see no reason to hate the US just for that reason. If I remember right, back in the 18th century the French even tried making a metric system of time (don't know exact details on how it worked). It stuck around for about 12 years and then people decided it was too confusing and went back to the old system. I figure the first US settlers tried a different system of measurement and it stuck around long enough and enough people got used to it that it became customary. I'm not sure on how exactly the american measurement system started, really. Of course, for conversations, I have some rough conversion figures in my head so I can talk to those who use the metric system. But anyway, we got some more snow yesterday. Not much, maybe an inch. It's started to warm up, though.

Well, we had here something like a hurricane, but not so powerfull. More like a heavy storm. But so far I know, we didn't had any before. It was yesterday. I went to school with the bus. At the way back the bus needed to make a roundabout way. A three was fallen right over the road.
And if anybody wants to know which busline it was, it was busline nr. 52!!!
(Oh man, I need to make a pic of it, and use it as avatar!!)

.. We have a third and fourth wave of (ice) storms on their way here.. Yesterday and Today were the only days that the roads were safe... I'll be damned if i'm driving the Neon on ice..
This is highly unusual for this area of Texas... Amarillo maybe, but not here in the Denton/Dallas/Ft. Worth area. Four (maybe five if that system off the west coast develops) waves of winter storms. I think that Mother Earth is pissed at Governer Perry for running for office.... again. f*cking twat doesn't know his ass from his toe. dunno how in the hell he made governer.

It snows here now, and its freezing effect cold at : -15 C but the real temprature is -1 C and the snow is actually not wet enough to make snow balls I hate wet snow. Damn! It snows like hell. The snow went to be wet :( But it has got colder again. And it's said to snow trough all night and with -1C to -3C. It has stopped snowing now, but there's at least 10cm maybe 15cm or 20cm . And it's -3 C

Good for you. We have finnaly gotten some real amount of snow. We have about 15-20 cm snow\6-8inch. And it's freezing outside. Like -10C And it's gonna stay like that for a while ^_^ But school never gets closed cause of snow or cold Even last year with 1 meter and -25C we didnt get to be home at all. We might get -15 C tommorow. Then our lake will be frozen at the stream too I couldn't get the car door up yesterday.... And when I got it up, I had trouble closing it.

..............wow............almost every school around my area either has a delay or a closing except springboro schools.........and of course because my school cant make their own damned decision and ALWAYS follows what springboro does we dont have a delay or closing. seriously my school always follow what springboro does even though they are in another area so their streets are probably in different conditions then ours and stuff. and i KNOW the streets in my area are bad. OMG even the Rehab center is closed when more snow comes (according to the weather channel and stuff its suppose to thursday) it better be enough to make my school realize that the streets are not fit for driving on. oh school not being closed for the district isnt the thing that pisses me off as much but its when i go to school just to find out that my highschool and middleschool do but the elementary doesnt cause then we end up with like 10+ kids in high school who drive getting into wrecks on their way to school and being late then and having their car destroyed a lot of the time. but yet the little kids who all get brought to school via bus or their mommies and daddies dont have to go to school an hour later when its lighter thus more visible and the roads are more than likely better at that time to. well anyways looks like im going to school today

QUOTE (CrashKing @ Jan 22 2007, 01:59 PM) lol, In USA they skip school cause the road is slippery xD We are having -15 C now and do we skip school ? nah! Well, would you want to be in a school bus when it slides off an icy road and wrecks? Most normal school busses don't have seat belts for anyone but the driver, so where do you think the riders will go if it flips around? I know I wouldn't want to be there. And if it's bad for the busses, it's not too much better for anyone else. Icy roads are too hazardous, so schools are closed to minimize travel and wrecks. Sure, it wouldn't be a problem if people in the US were better drivers, but they're all stupid/wreckless/both (well, some of them aren't, but you never see them ) and it won't change anytime soon.
