Okay, i have a couple of questions which i need answers for, if possible. Here goes...
Question 1:
Can you make tiberium work like veins with the overlay? Like how it has pieces which all join together(see below)

Question 2:
Can vehicles, like the reaper, drop tiberium but not heal in it?

Question 3:
Can tiberium be changed so it does no damage to infantry, same with veins damaging vehicles?

i dont know that, but i think its hardcoded how the different tiberium works.

i think no. because units only drop tiberium, if the tiberiumheal=yes tag is present.
so i think you cant have one without the other.
except you make a new deathanimation (explosion) that spawns tiberium like the meteor. then you even can make a unit leave blue and red tiberium without tiberiumheal.

i think the Power= tag in each Tiberium entry does this. Even if this is described as explosive power per bail (if in harvester) for each kind of tiberium, green doesnt explode much different like blue, and blue does more damage to infantry.
Thats why i think this could be the thing you searched for. But it should be tested if Power=0 really does no damage to infantry.

at least you could give every infantry TiberiumProof=yes.

But while we are already talking about Tiberium i have a question too.
Is there a way to make Tiberium spread like shown in videos from TD? Sometimes it builds crystals on the surface but the main plant has veins/spores in the underground. This way Tiberium spreads much more and a new Field could arise without any Tiberium around.
Perhaps it is even possible to make the new underground tiberium only visible using the sensor arrays showing up then like tiberiumveins.
Pavement has then a new intended use too: Protecting your Base from Tiberium growing uncontrollable.
-Tibtree spawns Underground spores like veins.
-Spores Tiberium is invisible and you can place buildings on it. Can be seen by sensor arrays.
-Spores Tiberium causes normal Tiberium to arise.
