"Taking a franchise like Command and Conquer and expanding it to a wider audience is part of the strategy."

I find this funny. They're trying to expand it to a "wider audience", yet everything they've done is forgetting about the old fans (removing them from the audience) and let the series then die with their rushed products under the shadow of other, better quality strategy games. So the audience has just got smaller over time.

After the failures of Generals, C&C3 (although it was ok), RA3 and C&C4 I couldn't really care less tbh.

I have to say that C&C Generals is one of the best C&Cs in my oppinion. And if you don't agree, download shockwave mod 1.0 from moddb for Generals ZH. It makes it 10 times better than any other RTS...

Btw if there are still ppl care about TS mod i restarted and mostly redone my mod after I had some serious system errors and all data lost. And I made even more! Currently I'm attemting to make at least GDI units have snowy camoflage on snowy maps.

If we take mods into consideration, then almost all games in the world are awesome. Generals has no story, has a lot of illogical ideas (woo, someone brought us money crates to the battlefield to harvest?), the engine is slow, the UI sucks, and it generally has nothing to do with the C&C serie. Feels more like something like Starcraft. The campaign was also rather boring. I don't know about gameplay since it's been a long time since I tried to play it last time, but it didn't feel like it would've been anything special. As for "10 times better", my opinion is exactly the opposite.
