I was searching the files in TS with XCC Mixer and I found the game's rules.ini. I wondered what's the worst that can happen if I edit this file? So I made sams shoot lasers and changed a few other things I can't remember now. What is the worst that can happen?

If i would want to add a new team other than GDI, Nod, Neutral, or Special, how would i go about using that team on multiplayer? i have them as owners of lots of the already made things like infantry and war factories and stuff, and i put them as 4=Team and list them as a team. but the multiplayer choice only lets me choose between GDI and Nod. anyone know how i could put them on that list so i could choose to use them in multiplayer?

We have a tutorial for it: http://www.tiberiumweb.com/forums/index.php?showtopic=9

Note: Adding a third side is a bit messy and it requires some workarounds and disables some game features (like the "Short Game" multiplayer option).

for some reason, the buildings i want to build with my new team are darker in where you choose to start building them (on the right side of the screen) and when i click on them, it says "building" but it doesnt' really build them. i can't make a base because of this. do you know how i could fix this?

what happened was i changed some of the civilian things to go onto my team, and so if i put the power plant from my team as owned by me and nod, they can build it, and i cant. if i put the nod power plant as owned by me and Nod, they can build it, i can see it on my screen, but i cant click on it or build it. please help if u know what's wrong!

I don't remember how I fixed that when I made a third side (I've removed it, because I don't want to lose the Short Game multiplayer option). Try making seperate power plants for the third side and Nod, and give your side's Power plant Owner=<ThirdSide>,Civilian (all buildings which the third side can build must have Civilian listed as one of its owners).

Hehe... the civilian thing worked except for the new team's power plant still is unclickable... thanks for the tip though
