I'm not sure if you guys know about this site, but Its amazing and you should definitely
check it out. Its called http://www.wolframalpha.com/
you can go there and calculate a whole bunch of cool stuff.
I was amazed that it can find integrals and differentials, but it can be used
for finding less trivial information such as the distance between cities as well.
What do you think?

My immediate reaction: Oh my God this is epic!

It knows the exact distance (in both kilometres and miles) between my current town of residence and my hometown, two obscure places. It has them on a map of North America. It has their populations. It has their elevations. It has the time it would take to fly between them on a direct flight path (at 550 mph/ 890 km/h). It has the time of both places (though they are in the same time zone).

And it only took a few seconds to compute.
