Hi, I have some problems with VXL editor. mad.gif

my first problem:
When I copy-paste in the VXL editor it's not pateing the same colors what I copyed. I mean that when I copy something with
red on the DOWNER palette, it will paste a red-like, but more simple colour from the UPPER palette.

my second problem:
Pink dots. If I make a voxel, it's have pink / light green dots in game (they are changeing their colour between green and pink.)

my third problem:
The new voxel not appearing where it should be. I created a VXL tank, but when I tried to use it in the game, it appeared upper than the unit itself. Maybe I ruined something in the art INI , but I'm very new at using VXL editor.

my fourth problem:
Lighting. When I'm working in the VXL editor , in the 3d view window the unit becomes very dark, almost black when I turn it, than it becomes very light, than black agin etc. The unit's lighting also very veird in the game.

my fifth problem:
Not the whole voxel appears in-game. I made a big VXL ( about the size of the mammoth tank should be) but in-game the voxel was veird. The upper part of it not appeared ( I mean the part which is at north)

If I have this problems only 'cus I'm noob at voxelling, I'm sorry.
But pls help me if you can.

There are certain colors that appear pink in the pallette. I made a voxel of the pallette to show which ones they are:

When you paste files and they turn out to be the wrong colors, you can go under Scripts and change the colors from one to the other, or under Tools > Colors and Normals > Replace Colors to manually change all instances of one color to another in the voxel.

3. You need what's called an hva file. This tells the game where to put the unit in regards to the selection box. download hva builder if you haven't already, and use it to align the voxel properly using "voxel position" - click and move the mouse to move the voxel on each axis - it's fairly self explainatory

4. This is what is called 'Normals' - it controls which pixels are light and dark depending on which direction the unit faces. Banshee, the guy who made the program, made a way to automatically put these normals in. Just press ctrl + N and you'll get a menu full of options. Play around with the values until you find a combination you like. Be sure to look at your voxel from different angles so you know exactly what the normals will look like.

5. I'm not sure what you mean, though if you can post a screenshot using 'print screen' I might be able to tell you
