if anyone knows how to make brand new .FNT files please tell me

QUOTE ("Banshee")
format is available in XCC Source, but it seems to be a bit complicated to manipulate it...

QUOTE ("SMIFFGIG")
hmm i know that all it is, is a image. Like what Windows 3.1 used to use
But its heavily outdated now days, because it cannot be manipulated in any way what so ever e.g. Italics etc.

QUOTE ("Banshee")
you know what the user see, but not the file format... and the file format is complicated...

QUOTE ("SMIFFGIG")
and even more so for the non-programmer like myself (just u wait one day ill know how to program  )

QUOTE ("Visceroid")
SMIFFGIG,I realise this topic is old as hell, but, this could be interesting.

1:where are all the .fnts in the game? (i know quite a few are on the disks actually in a MIX file, called INSTALL i think...)

2:what do you rename you're new FNT to and does it go in .ecache? or .expand?

QUOTE ("SMIFFGIG")
if i remember correctly they are all in the 'cache.mix'

I experimented with the unused TS fonts and the .fnt files that are found in all pre TS C&C games

Doubt Renegade uses this format nor Renegade post this C&C era and there is no chance

Still i dont think i tried all the .fnt's from other C&C's, you might find something interesting

Extracting: Easy, like extracting anything else.
Editing: Err, we cant even open the file, let alone edit it. I'm going to try and compile that source code (tomorrow, when I have more time) and see how far into development that program got.
