As you all know, I'm in the US Army. So... Here's the lowdown on my upcoming battle schedule.


12 July - 2 August: Extended Combat Training (may or may not go. pushed back two weeks)
21 August - 28 November: Advanced Individual Training (for my NEW Job Specialty)
5 January 2009 - Mid-March 2010: 607th MP Bn. Deployment to Afghanistan.
March 2010 - June 2010: Operational Recovery in Germany



So, Once july/August hits, I won't be here for about two years.
Let's hope I can make the best of it. I should be able to get on from time to time.

Oh God, you're going to Afghanistan? Sh!t I feel so sorry for you. Afghanistan is just about the worst place on the planet to be in, especially in the south. And the Taliban are only getting stronger with each passing week.

I'm curious, and I hope you don't mind me asking, but what will be your new specialty? Are you going to be part of the new group of U.S. soldiers that'll be helping out the Canadians in Kandahar, or will you be going in the east? Or do you not know?
