Well EA said it once, and people are assuming there will be more.
On the whole it is a good game. It is so much better than C&C3 in far more aspects. It's much more balanced, the storyline checks out (For example, in one mission you have to capture that GDI liquid tib scientist. Remember in the GDI campaign, where Boyle wants to use the Ion Cannon? Yeah they did that part quite cleverly).
I think the campaign also has a lot more 'heart'. You take a roll as a commander, the only one that didn't ditch Kane, then he makes you into something, you'll have to find out for yourself.
The missions are much more fun, and the Wolverines and Titans worked well. It's not just: 'Oh, lets bring back Titans and Wolverines for the fun of it! The people will love us!'. It has more of a backbone.
The new units are done well, because they always have some sort of counter. For example, the Nod AA vehicle owns aircraft, but not ground units. The stealth artillary is good against things at long range, but hasn't much armor.
I really expected this to be a 'OVAPOWER NOD' expansion, but I think they portrayed Kane and Nod as being in a bit of a crisis. For example, the opening cut scene is where Kane walks in the room, and it's dimmly lit, and explosions aree going on out side. He talks about how Nod has gone into splinter factions. the first mission is to corrupt a South American city called Rio.
But there are one or two quite annoying issues. I think the Steel Talons, the ones with 2nd tib war tech, are a 'lil overpowered. I think, hopefully, a patch or two can fix this, but there is no 'real' counter against tanks and armored units, exept more tanks. I really wished Nod had put effort into EMP technology as well. This would be VERY useful.
Also, some of the story line is a bit fake. If you don't want to read this, don't.
It starts off with Brother Marsios (or something) assassinating Slavik, and taking control of the Black Hand. He then thinks Kane is dead, and so does the world. He tries to re-unite Nod, but saying Kane is fake and wrong. Brother is captured, and Kane spares him (I think). In a cut scene, his metal plate, he just pulls of his head, and it's a helmet.. -.-
Anyway, I'll continue to buy these games, due to my love of C&C. I never really liked any other RTS game.
Over all, I'd rate this game 8.8/10
I rated C&C3 a 6/10
