How can I get these new units?, I want to download them, but...

I'm finding all these really cool things in here, and I've tried downloading them, but I don't know how to get them in-game. I know Bittahcommander helped me on this before, but I feel he wasn't all too clear. Either that, or I'm a dummy. Please help? Wow, I've been posting TOO much.
