Hey all,

Im would like to announce the latest project of the Solar Fissure productions team:
Tiberium Eclipse


Introduction
Over the next year we will be creating a modifaction for Crysis. Its goal is to bring Tiberian Sun to the Crysis engine giving a great multiplayer experience and awesome designs that are based on one of the best Real Time Strategy games in history.

We have started some months ago and are well on our way. We realise that not many people are able to play Crysis, let alone enjoy maximum detail. However, all mods take time to develop and by the time our mod is finished more people will be able to play it as better hardware becomes available for lower prices.

As we speak our team is working hard on new vehicles, guns, characters, buildings, levels and gameplay. Almost our whole team has ambitions to work in the game industry, or is already involved in it. This means that everybody is motivated to prove himself and become better and better at what they do. Ofcourse, we are all big fans of Tiberian Sun and Command and Conquer.

Tiberium Eclipse
Tiberium Eclipse takes place a few years after the second Tiberium War (also known as Tiberian Sun). We have chosen for a different approach then the original Tiberian Sun setting because we feel that there is no challenge in creating things that have already been designed by other people, not to mention they have been copied by other people for alot of Tiberian Sun mods.

So in Tiberium Eclipse we will have several old Tiberian Sun units, but there will also be brand new ones. All units have ofcourse a very strong resemblence in appearance to the old designs.

The gameplay concept has yet to be finalized as more idea's keep popping up to add to an original multiplayer that is balanced.
Our goal is to combine elements of Battlefield and Command & Conquer Renegade. As of yet, the following things are sure to be the core elements of the gameplay:

Genre: First Person Shooter / Multiplayer
  • Buildings can be accessed, destroyed and be interacted with. Their size will be scaled accordingly to improve realism.
  • Vehicles can be bought and can be used for combat by one or more players.
  • There will be different classes of which a player can choose, each with its own unique skills and weapons.

Our goal is to combine elements of Battlefield and Command & Conquer Renegade.


Rest assured, we will do our best to make this mod a dynamite tiberian sun experience as we are probably one of the biggest C&C fans ourselves bornleet.gif

hopefully you will add more to Crysis' graphics, so i wont be buying that 9800GX2 for nothing XD

You will need that card, as we will use normal maps. They will show the true power of crysis as the increased detail models are only the tip of the ice. We will have a normal mapped model within 3 weeks, so stay tuned for more eye candy.
