Possibly a good idea?, Never read of this before so... Options

Sorry, but this post doesn't belong in this part of the forums, but it wouldn't let me post in the graphics section! I just took it upon myself to post here.

I had this idea, and decided to post it here because I haven't seen anything about it elsewhere. Infantry squads. Yeah, like in C&C3. I know you can't stick the units together, so I came up with something. Where you to create (draw?) a new unit, couldn't you make it so it LOOKS like there are more than one unit? I was thinking, that the squad would be just one unit, but (clear/seethrough/invisible?) at parts, so it looks like they are individual units, and with the more damage inflicted upon them, one of the soldiers "dies," making it look like the squad is smaller and weaker.

....Is this even remotely possible....?

They will have to die at the same time. There's no way to imitate individual infantry dying as time goes by I'm afraid.
