I just downloaded final sun, tried to start it up, but it says TS is not installed. I do have TFD, does that make a difference?

hmmm I think its just some type of Registry problem with it. Don't know exactly though since I don't have TFD. Though I thought I remembered seeing a thread at PPM about this but I just looked and the only thing I found was one from SleepWalker but I don't think he got it fixed as his last post seemed sarcastic about all the help he got.

I will try to look again for more on this. Other than that I can only suggest making sure you put it in the TS directory of it all which I'm pretty sure is where it would have gone anyways.

i don't have TS installed too (only the files, but no damn registry data), and FinalSun works. An error appears with "Failed to access registry. Using manual setting. Error was: The System cannot find the file specified" but then it works when i click on OK.

So you don't have to have TS installed. All files in the TS directory that are copied after a normal install seem to be enough.
Also TS unlike RA2 doesn't need the registry data to play the game. (stupid windaft registry )
