okay here are a few scrin unit ideas

Growth Cannon
a deployable unit with a low rate of fire but high damage rate. it fires a bolt of tiberium dust that rips apart a unit and leaves tiberium on the ground in 3 squares in front of and behind the target. strong against infantry and vehicles.

Float Cannon
a hovering unit that "deploys" in mid-air and shoots a burst of plasma at its target
long range artillery unit, medium rate of fire.

Nice finds Lightstorm - exploding into goo? well, maybe tiberium & tib gas, I don't know how we'd get actual goo to come out of it (except in like, a death animation, then it'll dssapear)

if it's a vehicle, we could make it spawn a single debris that looks like goo, and stays for a long duration of time...
