I might get a new laptop with Vista.
Someone persaude/dissaude me.
Found something useful called vista transformation.
downloads the toolbars, screensaver etc. from vista.

the crappy thing is, DX 10 games are already out, and increasing in numbers rapidly.
if you want to play those, you have no choice. working with multiple PC's, i think, is the best solution for the problem. if you already have a PC running XP, get vista for your new one, and if anything doesnt work on vista, theres always your older XP-PC.
