Did the Soviet Union change to Nod?, And the Allies changed to GDI? Options

I know it's propaganda. One of Brotherhood's key ways to get power is to brainwash people (not literally) and feed them international false propaganda.

But now that we moved to speak about the age of the Brotherhood...did you know it was originally a small society that acted as the guardians for Kane? remember in the bible, as God promised for Kane that whoever kills him, would be punished seven times (or something like that). Of course he needed guardians in the desert. What if the Brotherhood grew large enough, into a global organisation, only as late as the 20th century?

And if I'm correct, I read somewhere, perhaps from C&C encyclopedia, that troughout the history, all remarkable empires and organizations were corrupted by Nod, and Kane always had his hand inside these organizations.
