Freezing rain everywhere!, whooptee-doo Options

In the US i heard that alot of states are getting freezing rain this week.

cars have a solid SHELL of ice, it takes ten forevers to scrape em off, the drive relly really crefully, as ice is well disguised in the pavement. Branches get covered in ice, get heavy and crak, falling on power lines, cars, houses.
about every 15 mins i hear a siren somewhere (I live by a main road though, traffic is pretty constant)

I just LOVE freezing rain

So did any of you get it as well?

meh i was hoping id get that freezing rain tonight/into tomorow morning so school would have a chance of closing or at least delayed.............but it doesnt look like that will happen now :(

I have had freezing rain very similar to that picture several times before... it is the biggest pain... brings down trees that have been standing for decades in a matter of seconds, branches all over the roads... powerlines/power poles all over the roads... ice blanketed EVERYTHING, and the people that worked to get the ice off their vehicles realized you couldn't even go anywhere. But that's when we all just brought out the ATV's

But yea power would be out anywhere from a week to a month (in certain parts of my state), we're just not used to severe cold like that... 100 degrees in the summer, 70 in the winter... rarely 20
