I can voxel for you, just let me know what you need (you might have to normalise it though...I haven't quite gotten good with that yet)..
So far though all I've released is the monster truck, and the cement truck for the Freedom Studios voxel competition

wow we are really filling up the positions fast... all i "need" is another shper but i dont think that will happen (a good shper is hard to find)

but i do need one more concept artist.. any takers

i should have a small 4 player map by monday to show. although im not too awful happy with it but i think it looks nice. i have a good portion of detailing and lighting left to do though but cliff layout and stuff is finished except maybe 1 or 2 places.

well here is a single pic of the center area ingame of the small 4 player map......i took the pic of this because of these reasons:

1-this area is done except for maybe lighting
2-its the center area on the map
3-lighting in other places needs more work than this small area

anyways its of the VHM area.
the possible name for this map is Tiberian Ring. i think youll see why tomorow when i should have more pics of it. tongue.gif

yeah i know...im still working on the lighting there....i want it to be more dark and sinister while still giving off a orange glow.

and if you think thats bright then you wouldnt want to see it during the daytime part of the day night loop trigger ohmy.gif yeah its REALLY bright then. which is why im gonna make the lightings even darker yet so it doesnt get as bright and has a nice feel to it.

oh and sorry harv i cant get anything done today.....i only have the next like 10 minutes if that then i have to go somewhere for probably the rest of the day :confused: ill try and get more work shown on this tomorrow along with posting it at PPM in our hosted forums.
why dont you show them stuff youv shown from there?

its really just up to Harv. personally i would think it would be a great idea since your more used to SP mapping and all plus i will be quite busy after awhile helping other mods but i have hardly been informed much about all the stuff needed and also Harv hasnt made all the terrain yet or at least i dont think he has and so it may be awhile before we can really start grinding out maps that show how the mod will really look and stuff.

hmm if i see Harv get on MSN ill ask him....as i also have a few suggestions for terrains/ new stuff to put in maps that wouldnt be structures or units so yeah...ill talk to him if i see him on.

I need to get back to making some more concept art... I haven't heard anything from tetnis_shot_ninja lately, so I have no idea how many concepts he's done

School comes first though. I won't be very active with the mod during the weekdays but I'll try to make up for it over the weekend.

that looks really nice. maybe a bit too dark but you already know that. i think it still fits the GDI theme though so thats another plus.

I'm hoping this terrain is released soon.
I Will not exactly have forever to wait and work.

Well, as far as I'm concerned, the voxels won't take long at all to do

It's the animated SHPs I'm more worried about

Harv has the ability to make normal standing SHPs (and they're quite good) but if he's working on the terrain and how much he's gotten done is still up the air

I haven't heard much from tetnis_shot_ninja, but in my opinion he's done his job pretty well and put out a bunch of concept art to draw from, so he can 'afford to miss a few days'

And , obviously, you can't start working on your maps without a solid storyline and the new terrain

The solid storyline being my second worry, I really don't know a whole lot about it (the storyline is currently composed in Harv's mind, and his mind only at the moment)

id figure Harv had a storyline already seeing as the Name usually represents the storyline somehow.

anyways Harv next time your on i want to make some suggestions for some terrain and stuff that i think would be cool and liked by people. if i dont see you on MSN in say 4 days ill PM you my suggestions to keep them inclosed within the team.

@Nods Viper the reason you havent been added to the team list thing yet is probably because Harv has been quite busy and has probably forgotten to edit the thing...just give him some time. and you must be somewhat patient to start working seeing as SP mapping for a mod is usually done as one of the last things cause you need the terrain, storyline, and it would be helpful to know what units do what and stuff and to have their graphics. but of course it is still possible to plan some missions.

Those hover pads should be closer to the body for better aerodinamics and protection.

Protection maybe, but I think it stabilizes it better with the hover pods further from the body

Reminds me of Renegade for some reason. especially those 2 things that appear to be tiberium orbs. The reason those remind me of it is cause of that one Renegade mission where you go into that underground area and theres that Tiberium meteor i think and its like pure green so its like 1 huge tiberium crystal.

but personally the tiberium stuff on that one cliff doesnt look all that great but i suppose it could be early work. keep up the good work wink1.gif cant wait to use this new terrain.

The cliff looks a bit odd, as the edges of the green stuff are too "straight".. The orbs could do with either smoothing out, or making less smooth - it seems to be in between a sharp crystal formaition and an blob - it needs to be defined more clearly as one or the other.

I'm liking the ramp a lot though, cant really find any fault with it.

This mod is looking pretty promising on the whole, good luck.

the work is not copied obviously though and thats what counts. Aurora's doesnt appear to be, IMO, that great looking as Harv's version.

plus Harv stole the idea/got inspired by it then but you cant really steal an idea really and plus its not like it was copyrighted ya know. and thats saying if he had actually seen that before. theres always a good chance hes never seen it.

so overall as long as the work is his own and original, which it obviously is or at least appears to be cause that would be one major change from that one by Aurora to this one by Harv, then its fine. hell Jabberwooky (i think thats who. name spelled wrong maybe?) saw this at PPM and is stealing the idea to. all in all its a brilliant idea and i dont see why it wouldnt have been used a lot before anyways.

but i can assure you Harv is working on stuff that is even more original then this. and i will continue to try and give him ideas for the terrain and stuff. which i cant wait to see more work for.

but like i said an idea is an idea as long as he has original work for it, it is ok. and to me its obviously original because IF he were to have used Aurora's and just edited it then thats ONE HELL OF AN EDIT. seriously it woulda taken probably more work to edit that from Aurora's as everything is different just about. look at Aurora's and the ramp just seems to happen abruptly while Harv's seems to connect with the cliffs.

anyways i really can't wait to see some of that work Harv :biggrin:

Very nice, i do like the darker cliffs, has more of a Tiberian Sun feeling to it... I have an idea for a peice of terrain for you harv... Have you thought about smaller paved roads? Like the urban dirt roads in Red alert 2, i think they'll like quite nice in Tiberian Sun... Also maybe make some more cliffs, there is not such a big selection in FinalSun in my opinion...
Just a little terrain idea, one cliff with a crashed harpy stuck in the middle of it, heh, just an idea. wink.gif

I haven't seen but then again I haven't been in rules.ini for a while now that suggests that that tag exists. in RA2 its opportunityfire=yes that does it.
