Today was my last day of high school. I'm out, gone, and never to return.
It was hard on so many people, many of us were simply heartbroken. Shoot, I'm going to miss school. (And I won't too.) I'm looking back right now, and thinking to myself,
I'm done. I finished it, graduated. It's over, and all behind me now. So, Chris old buddy, what're you gonna' do now? I had it planned, but now that it's finally come, it's harder than I thought it would be.
I'm leaving so many friends behind, all my teachers, classes, and school work. (Which might not necessarily be a bad thing!) I'm hurt in a way, but I won't say. I want to keep this short. Anyway, I'm done. Now I have so much time to think of my future...
So Chris, what's next?
Not sure. Guess I'll stay till' my dad retires. And when will that be?
This year, but, he'll be a civilian. I won't.How so?
Not so simple. When he does retire, I'll have my own apartment somewhere. I'll have to find a good paying job soon, too. But that doesn't answer my question. You said he'd be a civilian, a veteran I'm guessing, but that you'd be in the military by then.
Ahh. Well, he won't actually be finished with the Army, even after he's retired. He'll still be doing things, but I can't say what. Maybe after a year or so, I'd have already applied for the Air Force Academy. If I can get through that, I'd be an officer in the Air Force. Hopefully a pilot of some fighter jet.But what if your application is rejected, what then?
It'll probably be the Marines for me then. Can't do Army or Navy. Army, from what I've experienced with my dad, doesn't fit me. Too many things to deal with later on. Navy, I suppose it's because I hate being on ships and boats. So, if it's the Marines, what?
I can try to become a pilot for them. You aim high my friend.
But not too high. I'd lik to keep it simple, simple enough to fit me.Have you thought of anything that isn't related to the military?
Nope. I've spent my entire life as an Army child. So many Army things have been simply built into my system, I don't know what else I'd do that would be me.So then, why the Air Force?
It has always been my dream to be a pilot, certain things that I can't quite remember have motivated me. Also, I just think being a fighter jet pilot is pretty cool.Okay then... You're something different. Most people would never
dare to think like you.
Ahh, all thing in time though. First I've got to waste some of my life (which is short enough as it is!) helping out my friends. I think the first thing I'll do is release my first voxel!
On monday.I like to talk to myself.
