I Swapped my Worms 2 for Red Alert 1 with a mate in primary school, I was 7 at the time I believe. Thats how I learned about C&C.

I used to play on CnC, ever since it came out. I didnt understand any english, but my brother was a vivid player, and we'd play against each other on the PS1. I remember my first word being "GDI", lol.

I started with Dune II, it was installed in my first computer (probably by my uncle; who also gave me a copy of TD latter). My dad was hooked on TD, DooM II, and Warcraft II ATM. However he only played red alert twice, and didn't give any chances to other command and conquers, probably due to a game called starcraft (I still play it with him, but he isn't a really good player just a terran turtler that spams battlecruisers most of the time). Anyways he won't play any newer games than starcraft (maybe with the exception of starcraft II ), since he says they're too fast/complex for him.

QUOTE (ChielScape @ Jun 2 2008, 10:19 PM) just found it somewhere... i didnt speak english at all at the time, and never quite understood why my radar would shut down after placing the airstrip (-> only ever built 1 PP) I remember just building 1 power plant, then building just a barracks, and then 500 tiberium refineries, and then being confused and asking my brother how he gets all the obelisks, lol.

The same thing happened to me, not only my dad though. My uncles and dad played it and I loved it after watching it some time. I dunno if I only watched TD or actually played it when I was 4 years or something, if I played red alert, or if it was Tiberian Sun. The game I remember I frequently started playing is TS, I think. When my TS was broken my dad installed RA1 and I was hooked on it. I can't remember if I had played it earlier. This was back in 1999 abouts Good times... Still remember all the days and nights with pokémon xD

Yeah, Dutchy. There may be some people who has mams who play. But me mam is a slight technophobe. The only technology she likes is the cooker and phones and other stuff. She only just found out the goodness of messenger, lol.
